Accessibility statement

Our commitment

Stryker Restoration is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as the measuring standard.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: the W3C's term for a site where some content may not yet fully meet the standard. The testing below is real but cannot prove full conformance, and the limitations listed are real.

How we tested

• Automated testing with axe-core against every page at four viewport widths (320, 390, 768 and 1400 pixels), with every rule enabled including target size. See the build notes in the site's repository for the run date and results.
• Manual review against the Level A and AA criteria: contrast calculated for every text and control color pair, keyboard-only navigation, and use with JavaScript switched off.
• Not yet done: an independent third-party audit and testing with people who use screen readers daily.

What has been done

• Semantic HTML: one main landmark, one h1, a correct heading order and a "skip to content" link first in the tab order.
• Full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator on every control, and focus never hidden behind the sticky header.
• All text meets or exceeds 4.5:1 contrast, including footer and disclosure text; control boundaries meet 3:1.
• The request form works without JavaScript, has real labels, marks required fields in text as well as symbol, reports errors in text, and announces success to screen readers with focus moved to the confirmation.
• Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion; entrance animations are disabled entirely when asked, and nothing stays hidden if an animation does not run.
• The mobile call bar and topbar are fixed elements that do not cover content and are reachable by keyboard.
• Layout reflows to 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling (tables scroll within their own container) and tolerates 200% text zoom. Pinch zoom is not disabled.
• Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology; the agency credit image has an empty alt because the adjacent text carries the meaning.

Known limitations

• Third-party form delivery. Submissions pass through an outside provider. Email and phone always work as alternatives.
• Expandable FAQ sections use native details elements, which some older screen readers announce inconsistently. Every answer is in the page text and can be read with the section expanded.
