24/7 emergency fire response across DFW
A real person answers at any hour. We ask what happened, whether the fire department has released the property, and where you are. Then a crew loads and goes. The first visit is about stopping the damage from getting worse, not selling you a rebuild.
What happens on the first call
Six questions: where the property is, whether anyone is hurt, whether the fire department has cleared it, roughly what burned, whether water was used, and whether you have somewhere to stay tonight. From that we can tell you what the first visit will involve and give you an honest arrival window based on where our crew is and what the roads are doing. We do not quote a number of minutes from a billboard; DFW traffic makes that dishonest.
What the first visit involves
- Safety check. We do not enter until the fire department has released the structure. Once inside we check for unstable ceilings, compromised floors, electrical hazards and gas before anyone else goes in.
- Securing the building. Board-up and roof tarping the same visit, so weather, animals and opportunists stay out.
- Stopping the water. Fire suppression can leave thousands of gallons in a house. Extraction starts immediately; drying equipment goes in before we leave.
- Air scrubbing. HEPA air scrubbers begin pulling particulate out of the air. This slows the spread of soot into rooms the fire never touched.
- Protecting what is at risk. Chrome, marble, porous stone, electronics and textiles are the first to react to acidic soot. We pull or protect the most vulnerable items first.
- Photographs of everything. Before anything moves, every room is photographed. That record is what your claim will be built on.
What we will not do on the first night
Push you to sign a rebuild contract. Nobody should be signing anything at 2 a.m. with their house open to the sky. The emergency work is authorized on its own, in writing, with the price stated. What comes after is discussed in daylight when you have talked to your insurer.
Commercial and multi-family
Restaurants, warehouses, offices and apartment buildings have the added problem of tenants, customers and payroll. We coordinate with property managers, prioritize the parts of the building that can be reopened quickly, and set up containment so restoration in one unit does not contaminate the next.
Questions
Asked about 24/7 emergency fire response
Do you really answer at night and on weekends?
Yes. Fires do not keep office hours and neither does the on-call phone. If you reach voicemail, leave the address and we call back within minutes.
Is there a charge for coming out?
Emergency securing work is chargeable and the price is stated before it starts. An assessment visit with no work done is free. Most emergency board-up and extraction is covered under a standard homeowner or commercial policy as mitigation, but that is between you and your insurer.
Should I call you or my insurance company first?
Contact us first if the building is open or wet, because that damage is getting worse by the hour. Then call your insurer; most policies require you to report promptly and to take reasonable steps to prevent further damage, which is exactly what the first visit does.
How far do you travel?
The whole Metroplex and the counties around it. See the service area. Arrival time depends on where the crew is starting from; we tell you the honest window on the phone.
